Schlage Canada to launch new products at Interior Design Show in Toronto
January 10, 2023 By SP&T Staff
Schlage Canada (part of Allegion) will showcase smart locks and door hardware at the Interior Design Show, which will be held in Toronto Jan. 19-20 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre.
The company will debut the Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt, the brand’s next-generation smart lock, at the show. Schlage says the smart lock is among the first to support Apple’s latest enhancement to the HomeKit experience with home keys capability. With home keys in Apple Wallet, consumers can tap to unlock the deadbolt using their iPhone and Apple Watch for access to their home.
Schlage will also feature “mood boards” created by local designers Eva Healy, founder of avenue design; Mimi Pineau, founder of Mimi Pineau Design; and Adolphina Cyzrsky and Leanne Tammaro, co-founders of Designtheory. Each designer mood board will showcase Schlage’s custom door hardware collection.
“We are eager to show Canada’s A&D community the high quality and thoughtful design elements of our product offerings during this year’s IDS. Together with our award-winning designer teams, we’ll present a one-of-a-kind must-see exhibit at the show,” said Michael Del Guidice, vice-president of marketing, Allegion Canada, in a company press release.
Schlage’s chief of style and design, Ted Roberts, will also participate in a future-of-design panel discussion on Jan. 20 at 1:30 pm.
